Our Philosophy

Empowerment Through Understanding

Trauma-Informed Care
At TREC DC, we believe that trauma does not exist in isolation—it is deeply embedded within our socio-political contexts. Our mission is to provide care that not only addresses personal trauma but also acknowledges the broader societal impacts. By destigmatizing mental health and emphasizing empowerment, we foster an environment where individuals can thrive.

Integrative Psychotherapy
We offer psychotherapy that respects and integrates each individual’s identity, including race, gender, sexual orientation, and religion, ensuring a holistic approach to healing. Our commitment extends beyond treatment—we aim to listen, collaborate with, and act as allies to historically marginalized communities, promoting social justice and community healing.
