Committed to Healing TREC DC is a collective of psychotherapists, trainers, consultants, educators, and researchers dedicated to offering evidence-based and trauma-informed services. We serve a diverse clientele, including adolescents and adults who have endured various forms of trauma, from sexual assault and gun violence to medical trauma and workplace-induced stress. Our approach is inclusively designed to support individuals from all backgrounds, promoting culturally humble treatment, supervision, and consultation.
Serving Beyond Boundaries While based in the Greater Washington, D.C. area, we extend our counseling services to California and states participating in PSYPACT. Learn more about our licensing and service areas.
Trauma-Informed Care At TREC DC, we believe that trauma does not exist in isolation—it is deeply embedded within our socio-political contexts. Our mission is to provide care that not only addresses personal trauma but also acknowledges the broader societal impacts. By destigmatizing mental health and emphasizing empowerment, we foster an environment where individuals can thrive.
Integrative Psychotherapy We offer psychotherapy that respects and integrates each individual’s identity, including race, gender, sexual orientation, and religion, ensuring a holistic approach to healing. Our commitment extends beyond treatment—we aim to listen, collaborate with, and act as allies to historically marginalized communities, promoting social justice and community healing.
