TREC DC is excited to offer an 8-week, online Support Group designed specifically for young adults (ages 18–30) who identify as a Queer and/or Trans Person of Color (QTPOC).
This open support group is a dedicated space for Queer and Trans People of Color (QTPOC) to gather and in community, reflect, and build tools for healing and connection. This group welcomes individuals who identify with holding multiple minority statuses, including a minoritized racial/ethnic and sexual identity.
Facilitated by queer people of color, trauma therapist externs Jazmin and Manny share lived experience, cultural understanding, and care. Our facilitators hold space with intention so participants can feel seen, supported, and affirmed as their whole selves—without the need to explain or justify their identities.
Group Details:
Start Date: February 4, 2026
Schedule: Wednesdays at 6:30 PM EST
Duration: 8 weeks (February 4 – March 25, 2026)

Throughout the group, participants will explore themes that commonly impact QTPOC individuals including navigating cultural and family dynamics, identity and belonging, boundaries, romantic relationships, self-compassion, chosen family, intergenerational healing, and community. Each session includes brief introductions and check-ins, followed by guided discussion and reflection. Two sessions will include auxiliary identity-based breakout groups to allow for deeper connection and processing.
All sessions are held online, allowing you to join from wherever you feel safest and most comfortable. We ask participants to have a confidential space and to plan to keep their camera on whenever possible to support group connection and safety.
Whether you’re seeking support, tools for navigating family and relationships, or a space where you don’t have to explain yourself—you’re welcome here.
