Dr. Jess MacIntyre is an experienced trauma therapist, speaker, and co-founder at the Trauma Resilience and Education Center (TREC DC). With over 15 years of experience, Jess has dedicated her career to providing comprehensive trauma-informed care across various settings, including crisis shelters, hospitals, universities, and private practices. Licensed in both Washington, DC, and Virginia, Jess is also PsyPact approved, enabling her to offer teletherapy in these states, making her services accessible to a broader range of clients.

Educational Background and Clinical Training
Jess received her doctorate in Medical and Clinical Psychology from the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda, MD. Her academic and research focus during her doctoral studies was on emotion regulation in the contexts of suicide and addiction, providing her with a deep understanding of the psychological mechanisms underlying these critical issues.

Her clinical training is extensive, including four years of intensive practice in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) at the Wake Kendall Group and specialized trauma-focused work at the Washington DC VA Medical Center in the Trauma Services Program. Jess has received comprehensive training in a variety of evidence-based therapies, including:
