Experiencing trauma can often make you feel isolated and disconnected from others. The unspoken nature of trauma can amplify feelings of loneliness, leaving you to navigate your pain alone. At the Trauma Resilience and Education Center of Greater Washington, D.C. (TREC DC), we believe in the power of community and shared experiences as essential components of healing.

How are you showing up in your relationships?
For pairs of friends, partners, or parent and adult-child duos looking to strengthen their relationships. This group teaches individuals how to be mindful & present in their interactions, regulate their emotions to better manage their responses, and use interpersonal techniques for better communication and connection. Learn to navigate challenges without resentment or avoidance, fostering healthier, more fulfilling relationships with confidence- together.
What to Expect:
Each session will focus on a different area of of communication skills:
Session 1: Increase mindfulness and identify emotions
Session 2: Learn and practice emotion regulation skills
Session 3: Reduce conflict and increase understanding
Session 4: Saying “no” and setting boundaries
Join Us!
This is an open group, but since skills build on each other, we strongly encourage attending all four sessions. Missing one is okay, but you and your learning partner will get the most out of it by joining each week.
Participants must reside in the United States and be 18 years or older.
When: Meeting for four weeks on Thursdays at 7:00 pm EST starting on April 24th. Sessions will be 45 minutes.
Where: Zoom
Cost: $100 per pair ($25 per session), with sliding scale options available based on ability to pay.
